What Else Can You Be Doing?

You probably also know that you should be flossing. We’ve written in the past about the subject and the takeaway is that whether you use traditional floss, floss picks, or a water flosser, the key is to be certain that you are doing it regularly.

We’ve also discussed mouthwash and although one of its biggest benefits is that it helps to keep your breath smelling clean and fresh, it can also help to wash away bits of debris that you may have missed while brushing or flossing.

You can also employ the use of foods for your overall health, believe it or not. Cheese, tea, and yogurt are all beneficial to your mouth in some way or another. Apples can help to clean your teeth as well as keep your gums in good condition. Ever bit into an apple and noticed that your gums were bleeding? That’s a good indicator that you need to change your habits again and we’d be happy to advise you on that process. You can also start swishing around coconut oil to help clean out between your teeth and gently massage your gums, but be sure to brush and rinse your mouth out thoroughly afterwards.
